I missed posting last week and didn't do the SWDB, bad girl. My SWDB would have read similar to the last one I did.

Last week I went out for lunch with a couple of former colleagues from work, I could kick myself because I forgot to take a picture.

Oh oh it just started raining and it's coming down pretty heavy, my neighbor has her laundry on the line, to late it's probably all soaked. There are heavy winds, I took some tomatoes in the house even though they were not quite ripe in case the winds knocked them down.

I had some blueberries that I was afraid would go bad if we didn't eat them soon. I made a Blueberry Buttermilk Cake with a recipe I found on Skinnytaste

I used 2 whole eggs instead of the 1 egg and 2 egg whites that the recipe called for. I replaced 3/4 cup sugar with Splenda. I didn't change anything else. It turned out very moist.

I have some bananas that are too ripe to eat so I'll be making something with them today, otherwise they will go in the composter. We picked up our new composter at the city on Saturday after attending a 45 minute course on how and what to compost. The presenter made it seem easy but it sounds like you have to have an even balance of green and brown material so that your compost doesn't turn too wet. Ideally we need some dried leaves, hay, dry grass or small twigs to mix with the green matter like flowers, kitchen greens, coffee grounds, rice & pasta. You can also mix in Kitchen Browns, like Coffee filters, stale bread, paper towels dryer lint and hair.

Happy Thursday Claudia;

Yummy! Your blueberry buttermilk cake looks delicious! I bet it tasted as good as it looks. Would you believe, I never tried Splenda. I was afraid it would make my baking taste artificial. I may try it yet. ;-}
Have a blessed rest of the week my friend. Hugs
