The Simple Woman's Day Book

FOR TODAY

Outside my window....

I am thinking...about what I should write

I am thankful...the usual, health, husband family good neighbors.

In the kitchen...coffee.

I am wearing...It's 6:00 AM, still in pajamas.

I am creating...

I am going, you guessed it aerobics class.

I am wondering...who will win the provincial election tomorrow, it will probably be a minority government.

I am reading...

In this remarkably honest and candid memoir, award-winning journalist and distinguished author Kati Marton narrates an impassioned and romantic story of love, loss, and life after loss. Paris is at the...more

I have finished reading "The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry" and I loved it. The book was beautifully written, I felt I was on the road with Harold, I was feeling the pain of his blisters as he was hiking in his yacht shoes, without rain gear, a map or a cell phone. He encounters many ordinary people along the road in small towns and large. He listens to their stories without judging. He discovers that “…It is the smallness of people that filled him with wonder and tenderness, and the loneliness of that too. The world was made up of people putting one foot in front of the other; and a life might appear ordinary simply because the person living it had been doing so for a long time. Harold could no longer pass a stranger without acknowledging the truth that everyone was the same, and also unique; and that was the dilemma of being human. He walked so surely that it was as if all his life he had been waiting to get up from his chair.”

I am learning...

Around the house....

I am pondering.....

One of my favorite things...

A few plans for the rest of the week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - Gym

A peek into my day...
