Happy Canada Day

Today is Canada Day, there are some celebrations but typically Canada does not celebrate like the US celebrates the 4th of July.

It continues to be sunny and hot not as hot as some states in the US.   We had a little rain last evening, no severe thunderstorms and none predicted for the weekend.

A neighbor decided to have a little party in his backyard last Monday, why he decided to have it on a Monday night when people have to go to work the next day I couldn't tell you.  The Fete Nationale was on Sunday his celebration was a day late.  Nothing against neighbors having a little party and music playing a little loud, but this was beyond loud it was Olympic size proportions.  He had a giant screen set up on the back porch with a display of flashing lights on the screen, or maybe videos.  They have high shrubs so I could only see the top of the screen.  There were more  flashing lights set up in the back yard.

The music started at around 6:00PM, at first I thought something was going on in the park nearby.  At one point we were watching TV and the music suddenly got louder.  That was when I went out to see where it was coming from.  I couldn't believe how loud they were playing the music.  At the same time as Tony and I went outside a man came around the corner towards the side of the house,  I guess to inspect his handy work.  When he saw us outside he turned around and went back towards the house.  The music was turned down a bit but it continued.  It was quite a show, however it was a little too loud, it was impossible to sleep.  Finally after midnight the police came by and asked them to lower the music.  It was quiet after that.

Everything in the garden is growing like crazy right now.  Soon we will have some Zucchini fresh from the garden, maybe in two or three days the first will be ready.  I think the Italian tomatoes will be ready in a couple of weeks, the other regular tomatoes, I forget why type I bought will be slower to ripen.  I still don't know about the peppers, if I get any it will be towards the end of August.  I will take some pictures tomorrow.

For now here is a picture of the front garden taken with Hipstamatic app on my Iphone.

Are you coming?

Happy Canada Day. Now that's what I call a inconsiderate neighbor. Not so nice. Glad the music was finally turned off. Your gardens look beautiful. Felix is such a cutie.

No rain this week. Had enough of that from Debby. Hot . . . hot. Love it!
Hugz!

Happy Belated Canada Day Claudia:

Some neighbors have no respect for their other neighbors. At least they could have invited you and Tony.
I just love your garden. It's truly beautiful. Your cat is a beauty with it's shiny black coat.
Have a lovely day ahead dear friend. Hugs
