We have prepared for Hurricane Sandy, well not really. We are expecting very windy conditions that may cause power outages in our area so we have stocked up on batteries, water and snacks. So far there is no heavy rain in the forecast for our area.

I just made a batch of Skinny Oatmeal Walnut Raisin Cookies.

Most of the butter in these cookies was replaced with applesauce so you won't feel as guilty eating them. I did not replace the sugar with Splenda this time, but I will try it the next time I make this recipe.

Hi Claudia, So good to see an entry from you today. Tony says that Dec. 18th is the big day. We had some high winds and rain from Sandy but nothing we couldn't handle. How strange that the Northern area is affected.
Cookies look good. Can you send me some please? Thanks.
Talk to me soon. Love you guys! Marge

Hi Claudia;

I was one of the lucky few who wasn't harmed by Terrible Sandy. I'm glad you weren't affected. I posted pics from my area today. It's so hard to look at the devastation in NYC and New Jersey.

Yummy on the cookies. Don't eat them all and you can send me one too. ;-} Have a great day ahead my frind. Hugs

Hi Claudia,
I am glad you the storm didn't hit your area. There is such devastation left behind after Sandy. My family in New England didn't get hit as hard as the lower states.
The cookies look delicious. All of your baked good look delicious. I especially had my eye on the zucchini bread. I haven't had zucchini bread in years.
Happy Reading!
Hugs,
