Disney Animal Kingdom

We visited Animal Kingdom yesterday, boy was it hot. I thought it would be cooler the since the trees provide shade in some parts of the park. However a cast member informed us that it is the warmest of the Disney parks as the trees keep the heat and humidity in the park.

We headed over to the Festival of the Lion King. The show is performed in an air-conditioned theater-in-the-round, The show's music and presentation are terrific and the stage performers are very good. The audience is encouraged to take part in the action. Each of the 4 sections around the stage takes turns acting like a giraffe, a warthog, a lion or an elephant. Did you know giraffes make the same sound as sheep: baaaaa! We were in the warthog section.

We watched as this swan chased a Mama duck and her babies away from the nest then settled down into it. You can see one of the baby ducks in the background.

Sounds like a lot of fun. The weather here has been beautiful. But, I am not looking forward to the humidity.
Have a wonderful day.
